Eat happy, live happy. Eating all the kale in the world will not help you if you are living a life without purpose.
It’s said if you work out, eat healthy, and sleep enough you will be healthy. I had always eaten healthy, worked out, and slept 8 hours a night and still I became ill. I was not living my true purpose. My life was not connected to my heart, and I did not allow the authentic part of me come to the surface. By living that way, I burned out my entire body. As a result I had Candida, inflammation, adrenal fatigue, thyroid issues, and anxiety, along with other symptoms.
Everything stems from our guts. My gut health was off, from living a life in constant high stress. As a result, my body went into fight-or-flight mode for years. We are not made to live years or months in this state. This is how our bodies and mind can become toxic and ill. Our guts, AKA our second brain, are affected by the way we eat, live and think. About 80% of our immune system and 75% of serotonin resides in our guts. Hence, the second brain.
If you are living life on a fast forward button like I did, then your body is going through a war. It will catch up with you. Do you need a coffee to get through a day? Or sugar? Bloated after eating? These are just a few signs that your body is burning out and that it’s time to change it up. Eat happy! You can make the change.
